The road is plowed up to the Pratt River Bar trailhead, so I parked there, as I don’t have high clearance or 4WD. It was an additional 1.2 miles walking the road to/from the trailhead.
The CCC Road Trail has numerous blow downs that require climbing over, crawling under or going off trail to navigate. There is snow most of the way - I mildly post holed a number of times.
Once on the Pratt Balcony Trail, there is snow intermittently, debris, overgrowth and blow downs that required route finding a number of times. And some of the trail had ankle deep water - so there was navigating to be done around that.
I haven’t done the trail before, so I couldn’t figure out where the user built Trail was with all of the snow and debris.
Enjoyed the clear sky and beautiful view from the balcony for an hour before heading down. Didn’t see another soul on the trail - a great morning!
