Arrived at the trailhead around 10am on a Saturday and there was only one other car. In fact we started the hike at the same time as our fellow hikers and ended up doing the hike together. The entire trail is under snow. It was a bit cumbersome in hiking boots as we would frequently post hole, but only about 12” down. Snow shoes might have been helpful for the first mile, but less so for the descent. Impressive, gushing waterfalls on the descent. Some trees and large branches down on the trail but we were able to cross them all without too much trouble. Overall, a peaceful and sunny winter hike, we had the trail all to ourselves.
