Went up old trail down new. Mailbox at the summit is no longer there. There’s a trip report from yesterday on the Old Trail page that shows it so it must have gone missing just last night or this morning :(

Sometimes this has happened when people sitting on it break it, and another hiker brings up a replacement. Maybe that happened or someone is bringing a new one for fresh sticker real estate? :-(

I put the last one up there. The frame at the top is designed for a certain sized mailbox. I'm planning on running to Issaquah and grabbing another one from Lowes and doing it myself in the next two days.

I hiked up with a mailbox, wood and a power drill bit it didn’t fit the bracket. It’s a metal bracket and my 19 inch long mailbox didn’t fit. Oh well, good pack training.
