Trip Report

East Peak — Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
Lower Rattlesnake ledge

Arrived 7:30 AM there were already 20+ cars in the lot. I thought about taking micro spikes with me but decided to leave them in the trunk (bad idea).

Reached the first, more popular ledge after an hour. Then I proceeded to the west, continuing onto East Peak.

Starting at 2900 ft the trail was mostly covered in snow, albeit rather compacted. Half way through I realized I was ill-prepared but decided to hit the top anyways. Oh well… I did it, though with quite a bit of slips and tumbles. My worn-out boots didn’t help either.

Once I left the upper ledge it was pretty much in solitary. I saw two other through hikers on return, before hitting the crowd again on my way down to the lot.

Car-to-car 4+ hours with ample time to take photos.
