Was on trail at 7:00 AM, think the first half I could have managed with spikes as the trail was pretty packed down. Glad I had snow shoes on the way down as we came across quite the number of people; group trips, families, back country skiers and folks in full gear looking to snow camp. Good to get off trail with snow shoes and let others pass.
Bring sunglasses and sunscreen. Could not tell you how many burned faces I saw on the trail. I wore a neck gaiter, long johns and a thin hiking pant, wools socks, cotton t shirt, fleece and a light insulated jacket (think arcteryx atom or Patagonia nano puff). Easy to delayer and only got chilly, windy at the very top.
Views were incredible. Like any hike get there as early as possible.
