The parking lot is still filled with potholes and a pain to navigate.
Today it was snowing during our hike. We started at 9am. Snow on the ground from a mile in. Snow on trail from just before the Douglas Fir trial split. It was really beautiful after the benches and felt so nice and soft, compact and wonderful to walk on. We did use microspikes though there were those who did not. At the top there must have been 6-8 inches of snow as per my pole. It was cold and snowing at the top. So we did not stay long and turned around immediately. Didn't feel cold if we kept moving. The trail below the benches (first 2 miles) is the slushy messy stuff which gets slippery at times. Was a very pretty hike!!!
