Gold Creek Pond, Gold Creek Pond Snowshoe — Sunday, May. 8, 2022

We had a lovely walk at Gold Creek Pond for mother's day. We have a new trail pup and are limited to very short distances - so we only went from the road (the summer parking lot is still closed) to the picnic area and back. We saw 8 other people at various times walking in and at the picnic area and that was it. Two snowmobiles did come by as well, so make sure you are watching for them. My goal was a new family photo (since our last family photo didn't have our puppy) as a mother's day present. Nailed it! 

The forest road to the summer parking lot is still snow covered and it is soft and slippy. Microspikes would have been perfect. Snowshoes wouldn't have been ridiculous either because of how soft the snow is. No hard packed path today. 

Bathroom is still locked. Litter is not as bad as I've seen it before, but seriously, carry the poop bags out you guys! Saw a couple with a pretty golden retriever, poop bag in hand. Thanks!
