Trip Report

Sage Hills — Monday, May. 9, 2022

Central Washington > Wenatchee

hello fellow hikers!

On Monday, my gal pal and I set out to Sage Hills to see some wildflowers. 'Tis the damn season, in the words of Taylor Swift :D

Parking: We arrived at the Sage Hills Parking off Canyon 1 Road around 2pm and were able to snag a parking spot, without any issues. The lot is pretty small - maybe space for 6-7 cars. Not sure I'd try this hike on a sunny weekend day. Also, there are no toilets at this parking lot. The trail also offers no privacy, so if you need to go, plan ahead :)

Wildflowers: So many lupines! I think the balsamroot is past its prime, unfortunately. Though there still are balsamroot blooming, just not as many as I would assume at its peak. Overall a great spring hike!

Final Stats: 4.2 miles, 513 ft of gain, 2 hours + 15 minutes

happy hiking!
