My husband and I arrived at the trailhead around 11 am and the lot was already full, but there is plenty of shoulder/street parking. Even though the lot was full, we only saw a few other people on the trail; I think most folks might have gone to another one nearby.
I wanted to do a chill birthday hike, and I got exactly what I wanted! I've made it a goal to do more hikes in central/eastern Washington this year, especially in spring and fall when it's not too hot or cold, and this was a perfect ramble in the desert. We had lunch by the waterfall and soaked in all of the awesome basalt formations around us. It was fun watching all of the rock climbers as well. Can't wait to explore more of this area in the future!
