Trip Report

Gold Creek Pond — Sunday, May. 29, 2022

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass

Do not attempt to navigate the road unless you have a high clearance vehicle for a few more weeks. Full size trucks or large SUVs. Outbacks/Crosstreks are not considered high clearance in this case. One got stuck today but we were able to pull them out safely. Tow truck told them nearly $1000 to get them out. Don’t risk it.

Trail is about 50% snow. We started to the left of the lake (clockwise) and it wasn’t bad but the last 1/3 is slippery and tough with a toddler. Opted to carry him due to the steep drop off to the creek on one side. Spikes would’ve been useful. Passable in sneakers, might get your feet a bit wet.
