Cooper River — Sunday, May. 29, 2022

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway
River is beautiful

Hiked from Salmon La Sac trailhead to Owhi Campground. For the first couple miles the trail is snow free, but once you hit snow, it doesn't really let up until you hit the road new Cooper Lake/Owhi campground. I was surprised by the amount of snow given the low elevation.

The trip clocked in at 7.6 miles and took me and the dog exactly 3 hours.

The road near Cooper Lake/Owhi Campground is still covered in snow. I saw some high clearance vehical pushing toward Peter Lake and a pretty standard SUV crossing the Cooper Lake bridge, but they weren't going to make it much farther.

A bunch of blow downs. We cleared a few with the pocket wire saw.

Still a lot of snow at Owhi
Owhi campground is cold, but very appealing
