Finally ventured out in spite of the continuous June rain. Nice short hike to stretch the legs. It has a good mix of a flat easy stretch and a winding narrow trail up to Cedar Butte. We took the gentler trail up (head right after first junction up the Butte). This helped extend the hike and mix in a loop as well. Last push to the top was fairly easy and had potential for views but we hiked through the rain cloud. We took the direct way down. Easy hike to accomplish with a seasoned 6 year old and good warm up for some longer hikes with our weather hopefully turning here soon.
