Camano Island State Park — Thursday, Jun. 16, 2022

I'm sure everybody is going to be out tide pooling this weekend, be prepared. We had no problem at Camano today, got there about 10 and parked in the North lot. It was the first time we could walk along the beach all the way to the boat launch, we usually take the Bluff loop. The tide wasn't all the way out yet, but we turned over the rocks and saw all the little crabs, and yes we turned the rocks back after we took a quick look. After the beach we took the Loop trail up the stairs and around the parameter trail. We had lunch on a nice bench in the woods and listened to lots of birdsong. By the time we got back to the car, the park was much busier with families out for a picnic and beachcombing.
