We started the hike a bit late in the day. Graveled trail up to the mining car was fine. Trail from the mining car to the Kline mine shaft and on to the cemetery was quite muddy, we sunk in the mud in a few places, and there was at least one spot on the trail that looked like there may have been a washout/mudslide recently. After the cemetery we took the wide trail that goes down towards the river, then took a left at the bottom, thinking this trail would eventually lead back to the parking lot. It doesn't. It ends rather abruptly, and there are many downed trees and narrow ledges where the trail has been washed out. My companion and I fell, numerous times, before turning around and going back the way we came. Exercise caution on this trail, as I mentioned it is quite muddy right now and there are downed limbs in spots.
A couple of ripe-ish salmonberries were spotted, a little past the mine shaft.
