Hiked the Memaloose Hills April 9. The best hike description I've found is at OregonHikers.org, both for parking issues as well as hike description. This is an easy 3.2 mile, 550 foot elevation gain, but the bang for your buck is incredible! Balsamroot is definitely peaking right now!
