This was a lovely little hike for me and the kids! We didn’t get into the Cedar grove that another report mentioned because the mud was too deep for kids with sneakers. A longer hike under the power lines is possible, but we didn’t venture that way. We only saw one other person.
The other side of the lake is a busy road, but it was far enough away that it wasn’t a nuisance. This isn’t a wilderness experience! Most of the hike is well away from cars and is forested. We saw a little garter snake!
Not much signage - keep an eye out for the white fence and park right after it!
