Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
Lincoln Park by Anna Roth

This was a work party to repair the trail at Solstice Park, across the street from Lincoln Park. There are some stairs at the top of the park in serious disrepair and the ELP crew and a few office staff worked together to get them fixed up and secure for future visitors.

Our crew installed a couple stairs and prepped the rest of the box steps for the Saturday crew. We had a nice visit from some other office staff during lunch, and enjoyed the sun and a breeze. Afterwards, we headed down to the beach to see the troll, part of Thomas Danbo's Way of the Bird King series. There's a great little loop with some good elevation gain that starts right by Solstice Park and comes out at the center of the park. The trails aren't particularly well marked, but using Gaia helps you stay on track.
