There is a sinkhole in the road not far from the paring lot. When I drove by it, someone had put a large rock in the opening and also a flag pole. The hole is right in the center of the road.
The trail was very clear and well maintained, having encountered a fellow with a saw and pick headed out to his large red pickup, who had just finished clearing the trail to Heather Bowl.
Campsite was super cold at night and water froze, along with ice inside (condensation) and outside the tent. No visible snow on ground. Most firewood was quite wet.
There were two deer generally hanging nearby.
