Lincoln Park — Thursday, May. 9, 2024

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
Bruun Idun troll

Lincoln park loop on a beautiful sunny May morning. Arrived before 8 am on a Thursday morning, parking lot mostly empty. Started hike by the posted park map and bird houses. Hiked the bluff trail counter clockwise down the stairs to the beach trail. Wildflowers blooming, purple rhododendrons, thimble berry, star flowers and others. Visited the Thomas Dambo troll, Bruun Idun with it’s amazing driftwood flute. Continued on the beach trail towards the ferry, turning up the hill by the rock bathrooms, back to the bluff trail and parking lot, just under 2 miles for the loop.  The counter clockwise loop seems easier returning up the hill. If you want a great stair workout do the loop clockwise. Or do both, that’s what I did today.
