Gorgeous day with warm temperatures. First really nice Saturday for the area.
The hike is long but the path for the first half is nice and shaded. Only one downed tree to go over and little streams from melting snow to cross.
The ascent is gradual on the new trail. Starts to get more challenging as the trail starts to get very rocky.
When you leave the treeline, the boulder field is like big flat steps that take you up to the most difficult section. Loose rocks and a very steep, open climb to the top.
Then you flip it and reverse it.
We are SAF hikers and we took our time. Lots of breaks and lunch at the top.
