Beacon Rock State Park - Beacon Rock, Beacon Rock State Park - Hamilton Mountain — Saturday, May. 11, 2024

Southwest Washington > Columbia River Gorge - WA

This was my first visit to Beacon Rock State Park and I was impressed.  First I hiked up Beacon Rock, which was much quicker and easier than I thought.  The summit is treed but the views of the river and Hamilton Mountain are great.  After Beacon Rock I took the Hamilton Mountain Trail to see the waterfalls: Hardy Falls, Rodney Falls & Pool of the Winds.  All worth the trip! Wildflowers are blooming: Bleeding hearts, Larkspur.  Lots of birds and their lovely songs along the way.  This is another Washington State Park gem! Check out my YouTube video for trail conditions and sights you'll see on these trails:  https://youtu.be/lkTmqUhwVHg?si=vs_Gmgvuq0f4xo2a
