Oooh, it was muddy! Better wear your wellies for this one. Great full hike for a family -- and there were many little kiddoos on the trail today. Overall, not much elevation gain, and a very wide, packed down trail for the first half. The second gets a bit windy with some unmarked potential offshoots along the way -- don't worry, none go too far, and just stick to where it looks like most people have trod and you'll be fine.
Quite randomly, you will come across the skeletal remains of an old sports car (how did that get there??) which makes the walk all the more colorful.
The end is the reward -- and you don't see, or even hear too much, of it until you're upon it. I would tag this is the ideal group or family hike for super hot, sunny summer day. Pretty specular swimming hole.
