It was a nice day - a bit cloudy, but temperatures were in the high 60s and very comfortable. The wildflowers were past their prime - probably two weeks earlier would have been the best time for this hike. The trail is pretty narrow and challenging to walk in some places. The elevation gain isn’t even, making it a tough climb sometimes. The first mile is pretty hard, ascending steeply and steadily. The next mile or so was pretty flat and the last bit was again a steep challenging ascend. There were magnificent views along the way and also at the top. Would definitely come back again next year planning to hit the peak wildflower blooms.
