Trail was in excellent condition. We started off at 4:00 am with headlamps and hiked counterclockwise. We stopped at the lookout, but it does not have the view of Rainier. You will want to keep going until you see a clearing with boulders. The view was absolutely amazing! It took us about an hour to get to the viewpoint, and we barely missed blue hour, so if I were to do this again I would try to start off an hour and 15 minutes prior to sunrise.
