We hit the trail at 7 AM and it was a stunning hike all the way up! There was the most beautiful moss covered rocks that this Pacific Northwest girl has ever seen! It had many peekaboo views of Mailbox Peak and Mount Rainier, ending up at a relatively small clearing with a gorgeous view of Rainier and all of the surrounding areas.
We saw a couple of hikers on the way up and passed many of them on the way down, given it’s Juneteenth, being a federal holiday, a lot more people were out with the great weather.
A lot of the trailers rock and certain areas had water running through them, but it was very easy to cross. There were minor areas of muddy trail, but nothing to be concerned about. Was just a glorious day!
