It’s the trail that never ends. You hike, hike and hike. You imagine, the end just to be fooled into climbing more switchbacks. This is a challenging hike that takes you through a majestic forest, but as you hit that last mile, you’re over it. Granted I was carrying 50lbs for training. Once at the top make the scramble up the rocks and take in the views. We hiked late, always make sure you have a light. Coming down in the dark, the roots and rocks were jumping out, trying to keep us on the mountain.

Mt Si was the first hike I ever did--in 6th grade. At the time, I felt like I was climbing Everest. I have done it several times since then, but always more of a workout than I think it is going to be.
