Lake Ingalls, Eldorado and Turnpike Passes & Ingalls Creek — Friday, Jul. 5, 2024

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway
Lake Ingalls

Hiked from Ingalls Creek TH up Ingalls Creek valley 13 miles. Camped at junction to Longs Pass. On morning of 2nd day, did a day hike up Beverly Turnpike to Turnpike Pass, then Eldorado Pass, then back down Fourth Creek and returned to camp. On evening of 2nd day, hiked up to Lake Ingalls. On day 3, returned to TH. Notes:

  • ~60 blowdowns on Ingalls Creek trail between Hardscrabble Creek junction and Longs Pass junction. Nothing too crazy, but slows the pace.
  • Great view of Mt Rainier from Eldorado Pass and Iron Peak.
  • Had to ford Ingalls Creek near Fourth Creek while returning from Eldorado Pass. Water no more than knee high.
  • The only snow was on the shores of Lake Ingalls, which still has snow/ice on the surface as of July 7.
  • Encountered herd of 12 elk near Hardscrabble Creek junction.
