Road: Gravel- sedans, low clearance vehicles seem do as well as high clearance. The dust was unbelievable- low visibility in early morning due to dust and sunlight, but still manageable.
Parking: pretty popular hike, likely draws more crowd since it’s a bit challenging to get timed entry to Mt. Rainer NP?
Trail: shaded except for a short strip close to the lookout and lake. It is well maintained and lots of wild flowers.
Highlights: Eunice lake is perfect to swim and wade. So clear and gratifying to cool down from the heat.

It's actually not challenging to get timed entry to Paradise or Sunrise corridors. Though the calendar appears full for advanced reservations, if one goes on line 7 PM the day before, there are dozens of entries available for each 2 hr. time slot. And it's very easy to do. I was skeptical of this new method of gaining entry, but I was pleasantly surprised. Also leads to less crowding both in the park and at the entry gates.
