Pete Lake — Sunday, Jul. 14, 2024

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway
Pete Lake by colinmac

BRING YOUR BUG SPRAY! We got attacked before we even left the parking lot, bad enough that we drove back to town for bug spray. The good news is that once we were drenched in DEET, we were mostly left alone.

The trail is in great shape and the stream crossings can be done without getting wet. The lake was probably in the high 40s, but felt great on our feet (probably wouldn’t be fun to swim in). The road was decent and passable in a sedan as long as you take it slow. Wildflowers are out, but clearly reaching the end of their season.

While there was a lot of traffic up to Spectacle and beyond, Pete Lake itself was pretty wide open.
