Thorp Mountain Lookout via Thorp Creek — Monday, Jul. 15, 2024

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway
Rainier with some paintbrush

Arrived at the trailhead around 645am and we were the only cars there. Not a true trailhead but more like just off the road so don’t miss it! Started early and in the shade which made for a pleasant climb. Definitely steep in some parts though. We saw a cinnamon bear about 1.5 miles in and then heard some more rustling later on but couldn’t see anything. Just keep your eyes peeled. Lookout is closed but there’s lots of room to hang at the top. Full sun exposure though and some exposed sections towards the end of the trail. Bugs were annoying but with some wind we were able to still hang at the top and eat a snack. Views are amazing. Enjoy!
