I want to thank the Forest Service for all the recent work on this trail and the road leading to it! While there are still some potholes, the road past the Middle Fork Campground is much improved, including at the bridge. The first half mile of the trail itself is widened and graded, and the presence of heavy equipment and large pipes suggest serious drainage work is ongoing.
Turned around where the trail forks to Nordrum and Snoqualmie Lakes. Only the big creeks had water in them. Next to no flow at Otter Falls, although Big Creek Falls is still flowing. Not bothered by bugs.
Lot of berries, including one not-quite-ripe blueberry bush.
A great hike for a hot day!
