Summit Lake — Friday, Jul. 19, 2024

The trail is in great condition. Mostly shaded but does have some stretches especially in the last mile with sun exposure. The lake is in pristine condition. I hiked this Friday morning and got a campsite. Later in the afternoon the established campsites became full and when we left Saturday there was an abundance of day hikers and backpackers that definitely filled up the place making it feel overcrowded for my tastes. Bugs were bad. Many hoverflies.
