Arrived at the Sol Duc Falls Trailhead around 11:15am on this summer Tuesday morning. Parking lot was full with multiple cars circling for spots, but there was still plenty of off road space for parking about a 1/4 mile before the lot. Facilities were clean and in good condition. As expected, the trail to the falls was fairly busy, though everyone was polite and seemed in good sprits. The falls themselves are lovely, with multiple areas and benches for viewing. After the falls, I decided to take the Lover's Lane, leaving the crowds behind. In fact, I only saw a dozen or so people on my hike, enjoying the forest, peeks of the river, and several other waterfalls. The trail was in good shape, though overgrown in a couple spots and with two large logs across the trail in one spot requiring a scramble. After Lover's Lane, I took a quick stop at the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort to grab a cold beverage before heading back along the B Loop Trail, which was even quieter than Lover's Lane, save passing through the Sol Duc Campground where several people were enjoying a relaxing afternoon in their campsites. All in all, a wonderful loop and way to explore this part of the Park. happy Hiking!
