Gravel road to the trial head was in great condition. The trail itself is also well maintained. We passed on resting by Talapus lake, it gets pretty full since it's the shorter hike. Olallie has much more space for those wanting to sit and rest for a while or have a bite to eat. Bugs were quite annoying but a quick spray with Off helps.
If you're a fan of Alpine lakes, this is a great summer destination.
