Snow! Snow + larches= beautiful fall day.

First, do not try this unless you have a high clearance vehicle. It takes about an hour to get to the trailhead when the gravel starts. There were decent sized puddles you had to drive through and two decent “rock sections” to drive over. But the drive to the trailhead is beautiful! Especially with all of the fall colors along the road.

Was very surprised as well as others to see snow at the top. It was mostly iced over when I went but unfortunately didn’t have my micro spikes with me. Lots of people were going to the summit without them. With the sun out yesterday, I’d be surprised if there’s a ton left except in the shade.
