Jeezzz!
That was a doozie!
My son and I had a very memorable hike. We got a pedestrian start leaving the TH around 9am.
Quite hot. Many breaks. Waaay underestimated water needed.
Only water source past the lake we found was a large snow patch below the traverse ridge and before the scramble. Coming back down, we down climbed the trail 30-40 feet to tap into some wonderful snow melt from a creek running below the snow patch. It was a very easy down climb so nothing sketchy and the water was sooo yummy cold!
As others have said, the trail is pretty straight forward. Keep an eye out for worn boot path and cairns above Stujack. Wasn't hard to follow.
Lots of folks out today but plenty of alone time in between.
This hike has been on the radar for a long time so glad to finally enjoy it.
