Arrived at the Sunrise parking lot at 1910, and there were still plenty of spots available. Began hike to see sunset at the lookout. Trail was in great shape. Traffic was mainly hikers and photographers setting up for viewing the meteor showers. Arrived at the lookout with about 10 minutes to spare. Enjoyed a beautiful sunset and got to see all of Mt Rainer without any clouds. Spotted the herd of Mountain goats to the East of the tower.
Make sure if you hike at night, have some light heading down and be respectful of those star gazing and use a red light when passing others. Arrived back at parking lot and star gazed for about an hour and just enjoyed the Milky Way and constellations. Awesome night with my wife.

Sunrise is so beautiful, but it's such a short season to hike all the different trails.
