I went on an afternoon hike on Sunday and it was amazing! Not busy at all. The first river crossing looked a little scary, but wasn’t too difficult. Second was totally fine. I heard the third one was pretty high and took the climber’s route instead. It was BEAUTIFUL! Views all around, glaciers, wildflowers, countless waterfalls, and I even saw a mountain goat in the distance, close to the edge of the glacier. It was not an easy hike and I was glad to have brought my poles, but just the right amount of effort for me - and the payoff was just unreal!
The road is definitely passable, just slow going. The parking lot had plenty of space and nice restrooms. No bugs at all, which was a pleasant surprise! Overall, amazing. Highly recommend!!!
