Mount Townsend — Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024

Started from the Little Quilcene TH on the lung-buster route at 8:15, first at the lot. It was still slightly damp from previous weekend rains so there was less dust on the road and trail. Few blooms but plenty of fungi. Very clear day with a little haze at the peak. On the way down I passed about 5 groups and there were about 7 cars when I finished about noon. Very enjoyable morning hike.
