Gem lake hike past Snow Lake was interesting.
I wasn’t expecting all the ripe, sweet huckleberries. That was a treat. Best I ever ate. The trail part along Snow is beautiful. For great berries, must go about a mile past log jam. After log jam though it gets rocky.. and I mean rocky.. you walk on rocks half the time it feels while reversing back up.
The lake was pretty and we dipped our feet in.
If you don’t like rocks, don’t do it.
