It's a very short, easy walk to the area by the bench where you can walk up to the river and dip your feet it. The water is ice cold, which is nice if you need to cool down on your way back. The further you go the more little hills you have to go up and down. If you're out of shape or have bad knees like me it's actually kind of difficult even though it's an "easy" trail. It's incredibly beautiful though and you walk right along the river for much of the trail. It's also a shorter drive and much less crowded than the Trailheads at the top of Mt Baker (Bagley Lakes etc.).
