Trip Report

Bridal Veil Falls, Lake Serene — Saturday, Sep. 14, 2024

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

This was a rainy hike. The road going through the trailhead is short and is closer to the main highway without pot holes. Surprisingly the parking lot was almost full and busy  at 8am considering it to be a wet day. As I remembered, this hike was an all incline for both the falls to lake serene. The falls have less water this time but still beautiful.

This is a rocky and rooty trail so I’d recommend using ankle high shoes just for protection but not necessary. Since it was rainy, the rocks and roots are slippery but the trees protected us from the rain so we weren’t soaking wet.

When we got to the lake, there was no view due to fog. But you can still see the crystal clear water and the fun of navigating through the logs and the log bridge. The different color of mushrooms all the way up is is another surprise to see there, if you ever like them.

Forest pass permit is needed in this trail so don’t forget to bring yours. Enjoy the place and leave no trace ya’ll.
