Arrived around 10:00 AM to only one car at the trailhead. Trail was in mostly good condition. However, once taking the junction off the main trail down to Margaret Lake parts of the trail are terribly steep. I imagine they would be worse in dry, dusty conditions.
Keep in mind, you will need to regain three hundred feet in elevation, from Margaret Lake back to the junction.
Today, conditions were damp and a bit foggy and cold. There weren't any dry seating options near the lake for lunch, so made a quick turn around once arriving. I expect the sun has since shined on pretty little Margaret Lake as weather improves this afternoon. There were about eight to ten cars when I left.
