I don’t think I’ve been here since they added the new parking lots, there was ample parking on a moderately sunny Sunday. The trail is easy up to the waterfall, then it becomes noticeably steeper and very rocky. Sturdy boots are a good idea and poles for balance if you want. I’m not sure it’s a great trail for a dog due to the rocks and not that many water sources, but plenty of dogs along the way. Not very crowded at the lake, plenty of room to spread out and have lunch. Nice hike with a variety of views along the way. The fall colors are just starting.
