A cool and cloudy day at Deception Pass State Park on Fidalgo Island side. Fall is upon us so weather is changing dramatically and this area will get severe wind storms as we get closer to Winter. This area is beautiful and gets lots of visitors in the Summer but starts to thin out as Winter approaches. Only us die hards and locals will be here in Winter. Have hike here when its covered in Snow and it's a whole new experience. Lots of kayaking and fisherman go through this pass during the Salmon runs. This is the time to see Bald Eagles and if lucky Orcas might follow. It's well know since this area gets more visitors per year that Mount Rainier National Park. Checkout the video of this area linked below or checkout some of my 500 or so other videos I have done in Washington State and beyond on my Vimeo Channel below.
As always get out and see this beautiful state and enjoy your hiking!
Take Care,
Mike
