The trail was in great shape. Once you turn off the Pratt River Trail, the incline begins. Poles are recommended for going up and coming back down. That incline in a short distance is no joke but the payoff was worth it. We did see a bear about 100ft away. It definitely didn’t care about us and continued up the ridge on its own. Not very muddy but the roots were slippery especially on the way down. Definitely a fun little scramble!
