Lake Valhalla — Saturday, Sep. 28, 2024

9/28/24 - Arrived to the TH at 11:45 AM and the parking lot was full, which was expected for a Saturday. Cars were parked alongside the road before the parking lot and past the parking lot. I recommend parking past the parking lot so you’re closer to the trail once you’re done. No bathrooms. Sign log at the TH. Dirt road to get to the TH isn’t bad, just a bit rocky. Lots of dogs - on and off leashed.

The hardest part of this hike are the switchbacks at the beginning. Once you’re past the switchbacks, it becomes a bit easier since there are more flat areas. There is a descend to get to the lake and of course, on your way back you’ll have to hike back up so that’s the other hard part (very brief though). Autumn colors are visible and beautiful!
