Arrived just after noon on Saturday. We parked in the beach parking lot with Discovery Pass. There were some cars parked along road. Trailhead toilet available and not bad for no plumbing.
After a picnic on the beach, we hiked up hill to walk the loop counterclockwise. At the top there are beautiful views in all directions, including Mount Baker, the Olympic mountains and the straight of Juan de Fuca. Trekked along the bluff trail down to the beach and back to the parking lot with Mount Rainier hazy in the distance.
My watch measured just about 3.6 miles. Encountered many shore birds including great blue herons, auklets, pigeon guillemots, gulls, grebes and cormorants.
Fun fall adventure.
