Lovely day on the trail! We arrived around 9 AM on Saturday to plenty of parking (probably 15 or so spots left). There are two toilets and trash at the trailhead. Most of the trail is shaded forest with moderate gain; it's a little rocky, but overall very well-maintained and dog-friendly! The trail was pretty quiet on the way up; we only encountered a handful of hikers. The lake was gorgeous today! It's a little more overgrown than other lakes, but you can still find your way to a spot to sit. Fall colors are starting to arrive! On the way back down we ran into about 20 or so hikers. An excellent choice for a cool fall day! We clocked about 9 miles round trip. The lot was full when we returned at about 1 PM. A Discover Pass is required.
