nd of the Season! The gate at the Mowich Rd and Paul Peak will be closed tomorrow 10/14 signaling the start of fall to winter.
Road: If it hasn't already been said, Yikes! I've never seen Mowich Lake road as bad as it was today but at least 200 nice vehicles made the 16 mile trek.
Entrance: Use your interagency pass, remember to leave it on your dash or fill out an envelope and pay at the pay station at Paul Peak.
Bathrooms: Were super clean smelling for pit toilets but out of TP
General Trail: Pretty fall colors contrast with the blues of Mowich Lake. The trail is rough, rocky and Rooty.
Weather: Stellar views today.
Fire Lookout: We headed to the lookout for then came back around for Eunice Lake on the way back. Lunch time couldn't be missed from above and at the lookout on a day like today.
We returned to Mowich Lake around 2 pm. I counted no less than 200 cars parked along the roadside.
Still a magical day for the last day.
